It was on the news yesterday that an army of locusts has attacked the crops in various parts of India! They might even head towards the city in which I live though I wish and pray that they would return to their home, their habitat and cease the havoc they’ve created!

उस दिन मेरी नानी ने एक नन्हीं परी को पाया।

मुस्कान जो खिली उस चेहरे पर,

अम्बर भी तब मुस्का दिया

Ah! Can I…?

Descending from the marble stairs

Diving into this fast pacing world

My eyes caught something,

A glimpse of the little me…

Posing happily in the photo frame,

Flashing my bright white teeth,

Hair disheveled but still beautiful.

Her shiny black eyes held mine

And I swam into them and kept staring blankly…

Kindling a poet in me!

There I was sitting on a high back wooden chair, too big for my small frame to an extent that my legs didn’t even reach the ground! My anxiety was at its zenith and even multiplied as my eyes scanned my confident competitors all set with pens in their hands and I was the only one holding a pencil!

A special picnic to Japanese park!

The DAV bus erupted into cheers as it steered through the black barred gates of “Kamla Bakshi Elders Home Society” . On stepping out of the bus, we (the students of class XII along with our teachers) were greeted by a magnificent garden inhabiting beautiful blossoms, some of which I had seen for the first time. Our joyous hearts then escorted the elders into the bus and we drove towards the Japanese Park with high spirits!

Musings!

Hello everyone!!

It’s after so long I’m drumming my fingers on the keyboard to write here… They’re freezing, yes it’s cold here but they don’t want to stop. ✍There was something – a strange heaviness which was pulling me from writing these days but today I let that go and I’m very happy for that.

You must be wondering why I’ve written this date! August 30 – It’s my friend’s b’day today!!!

Happy B’day Krishna! 

You might not know her. Trying to spot her in the pic! There she is the one at the left in light blue in a jovial mood! So, I shall give you a brief introduction first! She is a very sweet, kind and easy-going person, the one with whom you would love to spend your time – as I do! Moreover, it’s her angelic voice which makes her stand atop the crowd!

I hope “All smiles!” Just be happy and enjoy reading whatever you find here. Today, I’m not writing on a particular topic, just speaking the random chirruping of my heart!

Letters! A treasure of our emotions!

 

I personally feel that letters are the optimum means to convey what we truly feel. They literally open our heart and provide us a platform to reveal ourselves. But these days we’ve confined ourselves to short messages and that too abbreviated!

Today as I’m sitting in front of my laptop and wondering what if I’d never started writing, what if I’d just not started blogging! How incomplete I would’ve felt! God knows what hollowness I would’ve been experiencing! 

But of course that vacuum has been filled with pleasant memories and experiences  because I’m doing something which I immensely love to! I’ve got a platform to express whatever I want to.
