That wonderful Golden time
When I was ickle
Very naughty, a little haughty
Innocent but not fickle. Continue reading “My Colours!”
It was on the news yesterday that an army of locusts has attacked the crops in various parts of India! They might even head towards the city in which I live though I wish and pray that they would return to their home, their habitat and cease the havoc they’ve created!
Evelyn Glennie, a Scottish multi-percussionist who despite losing her capacity to hear at the age of 12 didn’t give up music! She couldn’t hear the sounds but felt it in the most amazing way! Once she’d heard (felt) a drum playing and in her words…
“Suddenly I realised I could feel the higher drum from the waist up and the lower one from the waist down.” Continue reading “The Sound Of Music!”
Read it slowly, feeling the sensations!
It all happened in a SECOND!
Vision obscured, engulfed in pitch black Continue reading “SURPRISE!”
Through these lines, I have tried to capture a moment … a moment spoilt by the dark magic of misunderstanding. Sometimes we do what we don’t mean to and how that small mistake turns into a blunder changing everything! So, friends keep your calm and don’t let the perils of misunderstanding hover around you! Wishing you a happy read and even a more joyous day ahead!
Descending from the marble stairs
Diving into this fast pacing world
My eyes caught something,
A glimpse of the little me…
Posing happily in the photo frame,
Flashing my bright white teeth,
Hair disheveled but still beautiful.
Her shiny black eyes held mine
And I swam into them and kept staring blankly…
There I was sitting on a high back wooden chair, too big for my small frame to an extent that my legs didn’t even reach the ground! My anxiety was at its zenith and even multiplied as my eyes scanned my confident competitors all set with pens in their hands and I was the only one holding a pencil!
There it hung a wooden plank
Beneath me, a maple tree.
A little girl would hop in her pigtails
Swaying her frock, playing with the frills.
She would sit on her majestic throne – a wooden plank!
And in her sweet voice she yelled
“Higher Daddy! Higher I wanna go!”
Their laughs echoed in the valley
As the swing launched high
Towards the infinite sky…
At the shards of glass
So alike me!
Like waves kissing the shore.
A special picnic to Japanese park!
The DAV bus erupted into cheers as it steered through the black barred gates of “Kamla Bakshi Elders Home Society” . On stepping out of the bus, we (the students of class XII along with our teachers) were greeted by a magnificent garden inhabiting beautiful blossoms, some of which I had seen for the first time. Our joyous hearts then escorted the elders into the bus and we drove towards the Japanese Park with high spirits!
You must be wondering why I’ve written this date! August 30 – It’s my friend’s b’day today!!!

It was a dark night!
I was a little in fright,
Trembling under the bed,
My face had turned red.
निर्मल नदियों की माला पहने
धारण कर जीवनदायी वृक्षों के गहने,
थी कभी तू ऐसी माँ
फिर किसने बदला यह खूबसूरत समां ?
I personally feel that letters are the optimum means to convey what we truly feel. They literally open our heart and provide us a platform to reveal ourselves. But these days we’ve confined ourselves to short messages and that too abbreviated! Continue reading “Letters! A treasure of our emotions!”
Money! Money! Money!
People now-a-days are exorbitantly passionate about procuring this five letter word and can cross any damn limit to gain it! They even find their parents a liability and reckon that spending on their elders is a mere wastage of their hard-earned money. Some of them are so treacherous that they are after usurping their parent’s property and assets without a speck of shame. Continue reading “Care for the Elderly!!!”
